Get answers to common questions about Acrylic Fill (Short - Gel).

We recommend a fill every 2–3 weeks depending on growth rate, nail health, and lifestyle. Regular fills maintain structure, prevent lifting, and keep gel polish looking fresh. Your technician will advise timing based on visible regrowth and nail condition.

When performed by a trained technician, fills do not damage healthy nails. We remove only necessary product, avoid over-filing, and reinforce the nail. Proper aftercare and regular maintenance reduce risk; discuss any nail concerns before service for personalized care.

Yes — you can change color during a fill. We remove or prep the existing gel polish, refresh the acrylic surface, and apply a new gel color. Color changes may add a small time or pricing adjustment depending on design complexity.

Appointments typically take 45–60 minutes for short to medium fills with gel polish. Time depends on regrowth amount, nail condition, and any nail art. Arrive on time to allow full curing and a detailed finish without rushing.

Apply cuticle oil daily, avoid harsh chemicals or prolonged soaking, and wear gloves for chores. Keep nails dry and refrain from picking at edges. Schedule follow-up fills every 2–3 weeks to maintain strength and prevent lifting.
