Get answers to common questions about GelX + Gel Pedicure.

When applied and cared for properly, GelX extensions and a gel pedicure usually last three to six weeks. Longevity depends on nail growth, daily activities, and aftercare. Schedule infills or touch-ups every 3-4 weeks to maintain appearance and structural integrity.

When properly applied and professionally removed, GelX minimizes damage compared to harsh acrylics. It reinforces nails rather than thinning them. Avoid DIY removal and follow recommended infill schedules to protect nail health and reduce risk of lifting or breakage.

Expect approximately 90 to 150 minutes depending on nail length, custom designs, and technician availability. GelX application takes the bulk of time; adding a gel pedicure includes soak, shaping, and LED curing. We’ll confirm timing when you book.

Moisturize cuticles daily, avoid prolonged hot water, wear protective footwear, and use gloves for chores. Use non-acetone polish remover and avoid picking at edges. Book timely infills and pedicure refreshes to maintain adhesion and gloss.

You can travel immediately; the LED-cured gel is smudge-proof instantly. For swimming, wait 24 hours to allow any surrounding skin to settle and reduce risk of water infiltration. Sandals are fine, but avoid tight shoes for a day to prevent pressure.

We recommend infills every 3-4 weeks for GelX and pedicure refreshes every 2-4 weeks. Removal is performed in-salon using gentle soaking and filing to protect natural nails. Book combined follow-ups to keep hands and feet consistent and convenient.
